Enhance your Eden 501

If you already have an Eden 501 external filter, I think you will agreed the performance is good and the size is suitable for a small tank. However, there are no supplementary parts available on the market, that why we have to DIY. An enhance oil skimmer with CO2 in jet extension. That can save the space of CO2 diffuser on a small tank

Material list
1) Soft hose (green)
2) Plastic pipe (Transparence)
3) Air nozzle (Transparence)
4) Inlet strainer (black)
5) L shape tube connector (black)
6) T shape tube connector (green)

Step:
The procedure is so simple, but there are some area has to aware, the water inflow hose has to cut as zip zap type, to avoid the flowing leaves suck into the filter. The design itself cannot be automatic adjust base on the water level, it is easy to adjust the soft hose manually.

Finish product
The inflow must be lower than the water surface to avoid air flow into the filter.

All required parts ►

Use cutter to cut the hose to a zip zap shape ►

這個版本是不能令入水口自動升降的，不過我想可以利用會浮的發泡膠作改良的!! :grin

1.501 本身既吸水已經弱, 再分多個口去吸油會唔會更不濟?
2.如果co2直接入桶 (如你們所示), 會唔會對菌有影響? 會唔會對個桶既moter有影響呢?

CO2打進圓桶裡雖然有達到擴散的效果

但是對圓桶本身很傷~因為圓桶會積氣

馬達會空轉這是養水草缸的人都知道的知識難道你不知道嗎

首先多謝軒仔你這個題問

我相信養水草缸的人都知道, co2 是會溶入水中的，而注入缸中的co2 份量亦很小，加上有時間控制，理應不會使濾桶做成積氣或令馬達空轉。而試問由化油器所吸入的空氣，不會更多嗎? 時間不會更長嗎? 濾桶不會更有機會積氣嗎? :grin

軒仔, 你好, 相信你的問題未必和CO2有關, 最大可能是濾筒的喉管駁口位置有氣滲入, 因為空氣大部分是不易溶於水的氮氣, 所以積氣會一路增多, 而CO2是不段溶於水中, 除非突然大量進氣, 否則問題不大。大部分的溶解器也是以水流衝擊方式都沒有積氣的問題, 証明以濾筒內水流溶解CO2的方法是可行的。
